Each day your child can enjoy the following:

  • A choice of main meals;
  • A choice of seasonal vegetables
  • A dessert, piece of fresh fruit or an organic yoghurt
  • Access to the salad bar, crusty bread and drinking water

Every child in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 is entitled to receive a free school lunch through the Government’s Free School Meals Initiative.

Payment for dinner money can be made by card using our ParentPay facility or by cash at the school office.

ISS Education provide a range of healthy cooked meals and desserts, which all meet national food standards. Their mission is to feed hungry minds!

Free school meals

All children attending a state funded infant school in reception class, year 1 or year 2 are automatically entitled to a free school meal regardless of income.

There is no need for you to complete an application form for children in reception class, year 1 or year 2 unless you receive a qualifying benefit.

If you receive a qualifying benefit (listed below) we would urge you to make a formal application as this will allow your child’s school to claim additional funding (pupil premium).

  • Income Support
  • Jobseeker’s Allowance (income based)
  • Employment and Support Allowance
  • Support under the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • Guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
  • Child Tax Credit (but NOT Working Tax Credit)
