PSHE – Curriculum information

At Smawthorne Henry Moore Academy, we aim to provide a happy, safe and inclusive environment where every child can thrive. Our PSHE and RSE curriculum supports children to develop confidence, emotional awareness and positive relationships, helping them to understand themselves and their place within both our school and the wider community.

Our curriculum focuses on three key areas: Relationships, Health and Wellbeing, and Living in the Wider World. Through these areas, children learn to communicate their feelings, build resilience, make informed choices and develop respect for themselves and others. They are supported to stay safe, look after their mental health and wellbeing, and develop healthy attitudes and aspirations for the future.

We want our pupils to grow into responsible, active and confident citizens who value themselves, value others and feel proud of their role within the community.
